The romance of the Mediterranean has come to North Manchester.

You will relive those wonderful sun drenched holidays in Spain and Greece when you arrive at Tapios.

Not only will you be in the most authentic surroundings, you will be enjoying Mediterranean food at its best or you can simply relax over a drink in our cosy piano bar with live entertainment on several evenings (Jacqui has been known to give the occasional song).

Jacqui Fallon is a familiar name in the social scene of the North, her past ventures “Jacques Wine Bar” and “Chateau Jacques Cabaret-Dining Club” were seen as revolutionary for the area in their day. Many critics said they would not work but Jacqui took great pleasure in proving them wrong, they were a great success for over a decade – she is also on a winner with Tapios!

Jacqui guarantees she buys all the best quality produce and everything is cooked freshly on the premises. She is quick to insist that you can eat in the bar as well as the restaurant. In the summer months you can enjoy a meal dining on our delightful patio or just relax with a nice cold beer, whilst heaters are provided for those cooler evenings.

A big extension was built on the back of what was once the “Old Jolly Butcher” Pub housing a 60 to 70 seater restaurant and a piano bar was created with its own baby grand piano.

All the furniture and furnishings are chosen by Jacqui herself to create a unique but not too formal relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. To give the restaurant the right ambience she employs Mediterranean staff.

As Tapios only opens in the evenings Jacqui decided on an adult venue (sorry no children). Also, Jacqui wants the best kind of customer and is insisting on smart casual code!

After nearly a decade we continually strive to provide a welcoming relaxing ambiance with a superb variety of Mediterranean food & wine with excellent friendly service from our dedicated & loyal team of staff, many of whom have been with us from the beginning.
